Our Story

We are an American family who found and fell in love with the countryside of Ragusa and all that Sicily has to offer. While living in London as expats, we searched for an authentic, untouched slice of Europe to spend our holidays in and discovered the Southeast corner of Sicily. After viewing many properties, we were lucky to find and purchase Masseria Lanterna in 2008 and have lovingly restored it over the past several years. With our Ragusa-based Architect we have assembled an amazing local team of Builders, Craftspeople, and Trades to produce a simple farmhouse that includes all the modern amenities that travelers desire. Our vision for the 80 acre property is to develop all of the structures on the land into homes that can be rented individually or collectively by larger groups. Our local knowledge and relationships can be used to assist you in creating a custom Sicilian experience and vacation of a lifetime.
